What My Momma Taught Me
In honor of Mother's day, I thought I'd do a post in ode to my momma.
My mother has always been there for me.
A mother's love is special indeed and my mom has taught me many things.
There are far to many things to mention here in this post so I picked out just a few.
One of the most important things my momma has taught me is to be independent and be my own person. She taught me that it was ok to be myself, to strive to be able to be on my own and not depend on a man.
She also taught me the meaning of a dollar and how to save. Now I'm not so sure how much of this stuck because I love to shop, although I have become a bit of a bargain shopper, now but I didn't use to be.
The importance of having God in your life was instilled in me through my momma also. I went to church with my mom from the time I was born and we still go together occationally even though we go to different churches.
My momma has taught me how to be a good person and helped me to become the woman I am today.
I love my mom!
Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers out there. And, I'd like to say a special Happy Mother's Day to those who have lost pregnancies, lost children and also those women who long to become mothers one day.
