I can't believe it's the first of August already!
August signifies many things, the end of Summer vacation for the kids, but it's also the end of Summer itself.
I like to look at the beginning of a month as a fresh start.
1. Set New Goals
It's always good to have long and short term goals right? I like to try and put goals down in my planner and see where I've gotten at the end of the month.I know one of my goals this month is to read my bible daily, I've fallen off last month reading daily and that is so necessary for me.
2. Put New Plans On The Calendar
Go to a show, a movie, plan a family event. Whatever it may be put it on the Calendar.
My husband and I can talk about we want to go to this or that but if we don't put it on the Calendar to actually plan to go, guess what...it doesn't happen. Do you have something you've been wanting to do but keep procrastinating or forgetting to do also?
3. Getting To Work On That New Project
Why wait any longer? I know I have a list of projects that I've been trying to get around to. Just pick one project off your list and challenge yourself to finish it by the end of the month.
Mine is trying to finish my son's baby book. We'll see how it goes though.
4. Forming A New Good Habit
We've all heard that it takes 21 days to form a habit and what better way to start trying to form a new habit by starting afresh for the new month. I'd like to try to be on time as a new habit to set. That and waking up in the morning earlier.
5. New Things to Be Thankful For
I love to count my blessings and a new day or new month always brings blessings! My son for one, he's growing so fast every month! A new month equals new adventures, new knowledge, new obstacles to tackle.
Ladies who says you have to wait 'til the New Year? Everyday can be a fresh start and that starts with a new month! :)
