It was exciting!
Getting to see the players and the beautiful Kauffman Stadium in person, the fireworks when a Home Run was made. What an experience!
I can't say that I was a Baseball fan from the start because like most that would be a complete lie!
I never liked watching it on TV until this last year when we almost won...but it actually became exciting again.
The intense anticipation of that "W" sometimes was too much for me and I admit I had to turn the channel at times.
Sunday night, I was watching until the 6th inning and fell asleep only to wake up to our Kansas City Royals winning the World Series for the first time in 30 years.
Last time they won the World Series in 1985, I was a 1 year old.
I feel like Kansas City, Missouri is known for many negative things. A lot of people talk about how they hate this city and they are going to move. Some do and some don't, but I know for a fact where you come from always has some impact on you, good or bad.
Growing up here and still living here raising my family, there is a definite sense of pride and caring. When something big happens here you don't see the type of support and love with other cities!
When KC comes together we do it in a huge way!
But it feels good to see our city do something so BIG finally, something so positive!
To be in World Series two years in a row, this was definitely our year!
